In this action for breach of contract and fraud, Great Western Sugar Company (GW) sought damages from Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Company (KN) and Peoples Division of Northern Natural Gas Company (Northern) in connection with interruptions in natural gas service occurring between November 1973 and March 1979 to GW's sugar beet processing plants in Ovid and Sterling, Colorado, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and in Goodland, Kansas. Jury verdicts totalling $1,000,000 were returned for GW against KN. Judgment was entered in the amount of the jury verdicts plus $350,229 in prejudgment interest. Northern was found not liable and that judgment has not been appealed. KN appeals the judgment against it, and GW cross-appeals no to the amount of damages awarded against KN. We affirm in part and reverse in part.
